INTRODUCTION
The SEM1000 is designed to be installed in series into a new or existing 4 to 20 ma loop to provide an isolated 4 to 20 ma output.  The output is powered from the input loop (V1).  The isolator is housed inside a plastic enclosure, suitable for DIN Rail mounting.  Screw terminals are provided for wire connections.

 

V1 = Up to 30 VDC

Isolator Input Voltage Drop = 5 Volts Typical

Total Voltage Drop = Isolator Input Voltage Drop + (20 ma  X  Load Resistance)

Output Load: 100 ohms 250 ohms 500 ohms 750 ohms
Total Voltage Drop: 7 V 10 V 15 V 20 V

Note: If output is open circuit the input circuit will collapse.
