| The Sampling Station
provides a cost-effective way of representatively sampling large
flow slurry streams and it eliminates the need for
high-maintenance primary samplers, spaghetti pipe work and return
pumps so often used in traditional sampling methods. It can be
used in applications for closed or open pipe or launders. |

The Gamma-Metrics
Sampling Station (SamStat) is a specially designed multi-stage
tank with underflow and overflow weirs for use on full-flow
critical streams that require representative sampling. The tank
contains fixed static cutters that de-aerate the slurry and reduce
the primary flow rate to produce a statistically correct sample
suitable for mass balance and metallurgical accounting in
accordance with the laws of sampling theory. Only continuous
sample cutting can truly reflect the variations in pulp density
and elemental concentrations so often missed by traditional
sampling methods. The final sample cut produces the representative
sample that plant metallurgists require for optimising the
recovery of the valuable minerals. If on-line analysis is
integrated into this sampling station it is then referred to as an Analysis
and Sampling Station or AnStat.
The SamStat provides a cost-effective way of representatively
sampling large flow slurry streams and it eliminates the need for
high-maintenance primary samplers, spaghetti pipe work and return
pumps so often used in traditional sampling methods. It can be
used in applications for closed or open pipe or launders. |
